Courtesy Items:
If
you arrive late to class, courtesy is to stand at the edge of the mats
and raise your hand, waiting on the lead instructor to see you and
invite you to join class.
Remember, no shoes,
food, drink or gum is to be on the workout floor. This is for hygiene
purposes and reduces our maintenance costs.
Center policy:
Please refer to the list of center policies in section 4 of the color
belt student manual. These policies make training more efficient,
successful, enjoyable, safe and trouble-free for everyone.
Bowing: The
bow is to show respect, is a military salute and a professional
handshake. Traditional TKD protocol calls for students to greet each
other and instructors by bowing. The western tradition of shaking
hands also in the TKD environment is possibly a health risk as germs
can be passed.
